English for PR Professionals
14. September 2010 in Berlin
Participants learn how to write effective press releases and learn how to develop positive relationships with English-speaking journalists.
The press notice section shows how to remove barriers to understanding by avoiding common grammatical mistakes made by both non-native and native English speakers, removing verbosity (‘plain English’) and compressing English without loss of meaning.
The relationships section explores the culture of professional communication and how this influences journalists: for instance, when to be formal (Dear Dr Smith) and when to be informal (Dear Sue).
This seminar is taught in English, contains exercises on writing press releases and uses real examples, good and bad.
